Legend Class

Overview

The Legend system is, put in the simplest way, a gigantic studio-monitor/mastering-system. The system is horn loaded, fully 4-way active and inherently flat with outstanding fidelity that is consistent at all power levels. From whispering quiet to visceral crescendo the fidelity, intelligibility and spectral balance remains consistent and rock stable. The spectral image can project forward into the audience as well as sustaining an even wider spectral image across the stage, thereby enabling this system to cater for musical productions that have been structured for spatially detailed, dynamic range impact.

Most importantly the Legend system feels as though it has unlimited power and is specifically designed for having what appears to be an unlimited dynamic range capacity. Dynamic range has a greater emotional impact for audience enjoyment of music than playing at a fully compressed level of deafening loudness alone.

To ensure optimal sound performance within enclosed environments, acoustic treatments are also required. Lenard works with acoustic installers and can provide acoustic advice on request.

Specifications

Legend systems are made and configured to order and to suit the specific requirements of the venue, application and environment. All Legend systems are 4-way active with D-class amplification, power supplies and active electronic crossovers included. System structures are modular and scaled according to the requirements of the application.

Legend systems are ideal for venues and environments with capacities from 200 to 10,000. For installations above 10,000 capacity, the K4 system configuration is recommended.

The image above shows the system installed at The Bundy (Bundalaguah Hall in Sale, Australia). The venue capacity is 200 however this system design is suitable for live installations ranging in capacity up to 5000. For larger installations, the K4 system configuration is recommended.
